Waimea falls park, operated by the audubon society, offers beautiful displays of native plants and animals. local shopping includes the laie shopping center (only 1 mile away) and the polynesian cultural center. Laie shopping center has a grocery store, a hardware store, an automotive store, a flower shop, a laundromat, a movie theater, banks, a beauty parlor, and many others.
